Lactium® Peach Gummies - Stress & Relaxation
This gummy formula combines Lactium®, lemon balm, Eschscholtzia and vitamin B12 in a blend designed to promote relaxation and wellbeing. Each gummy provides 180 mg of Lactium®, 80 mg of lemon balm leaf extract, 25 mg of Eschscholtzia extract and 2.5 µg of vitamin B12.
Lactium® is a milk protein hydrolysate included in the formula as a key ingredient. It is combined with lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), a plant traditionally used in formulations designed to promote relaxation, and Eschscholtzia (Eschscholzia californica). According to the claims on the product information sheet, lemon balm and Eschscholtzia contribute to optimal relaxation, and Eschscholtzia helps to cope with stress.
The formula is supplemented with vitamin B12, which contributes in particular to normal psychological function. It also contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, in accordance with the authorised claims for this vitamin.
With its peach flavour, pack size of 60 gummies and a recommended intake of one gummy per day, this formula offers a suitable solution for brands and laboratories wishing to develop a private-label food supplement in the relaxation, stress and psychological balance segment.
Lactium® Clinical Studies
At the heart of the formula, Lactium® is a milk protein hydrolysate containing, in particular, alpha-casozepine, a decapeptide derived from the hydrolysis of casein. Research has investigated its interaction with GABA-A receptors, particularly at the benzodiazepine binding site, in order to better understand its relaxing properties.
Lactium® is also backed by a substantial body of clinical evidence. Several human studies have assessed its effects on various physiological and psychological parameters associated with stress. According to data provided by the manufacturer, nine clinical studies conducted between 1999 and 2021 involved more than 500 adults.
Among the published studies, one conducted with 338 consumers in France, the United States and China evaluated daily supplementation with 300 mg of Lactium® over a one-month period. Participants were assessed using validated questionnaires focusing on perceived stress and sleep quality.
